CMOL (CMIP Over LLC)
CMOL (CMIP over LLC) is a network management protocol that uses common management information protocol (CMIP) over logical link control (LLC). CMIP is a standard network monitoring protocol, and LLC is a data communication protocol that allows multiple signals over a shared medium. CMOL was developed as a joint effort by 3Com and IBM to manage devices on local-area networks (LANs).
