Only efiles to the IRS FIRE System, if you are a smaller company and use IRIS, this does not work. They say it supports multiple companies (and it does) but only provides one TCC code (one company for efile) so the functionality is useless. If you are a small company, you are better off going to the IRIS site and you can download your own CSV templates from them, create your 1099's and upload your CSV to efile. This is what I did after wasting my money on the software > > Poor, was a waste of time installing and trying to use this. my time would have been better spent evaluating other options. I bought the software originally, then was told that I needed to upgrade to get the efile capability. Once that didn't work for me (tech support said the software didn't support IRIS efile, only FIRE) I asked my the money I paid for the upgrade ($200) back. This way you know you're in compliance with any rule changes. It's pretty simple to load your data and then it validated and submitted for printing and/or e-filing. I had to take this task over this year and only had a few minutes of ramp up time. They also have some helpful documentation. > > **Cons**: Not too much. There are a lot of up-sell attempts, but they're not very obtrusive. Also, one of the up-sells would have been more effective had it been explained how crazy potential IRS fines can be before you submit. They offer an SSN verification service but we didn't get notified its importance until after submission and filing. > > It was a lot more helpful than our previous vendor.
