Otherwise, it is a workhorse of software. > > **Cons**: It is not web-based (though the newer TOPSOne is). Not being web-based, you are stuck accessing it only on the PCs on which it is installed. It doesn't allow you to quickly bounce between accounts/associations. You have to select one, work within it, select another, etc. > > My firm purchased a management firm which had TOPS Pro in place. It was quick to get to know as we had used it 13-14 years ago before putting our current software (VMS/Village Management Software) in place. The functionality and layout of TOPS Pro was nearly identical to the TOPS software we used 13-14 years ago. Thus far, it has been a stable platform for managing 35 accounts/associations. The Support intervention we needed to establish remote access, install it on other PCs, and expand its capacity (as it had been capped at 32 accounts/associations) was a very slow and daunting process as Support is usually not available when you call or email. They get back to you at a later time or day which may or may not work within your schedule to work with them. Once their focus is on your issue and they are speaking to you directly, "fixes" are relatively easy to reach.
