Clockify is a great timekeeping platform, literally set up time is 5-minutes!
Comments: I have been using it for years and recommended it to clients.
Pros:
Clockify is a very easy-to-set-up platform. Once one signs up, the functionality is available in minutes. It is easy to set up team members. The reporting is also straightforward; I use it to download my time with multiple clients into Excel.
Cons:
This only came up once: it is hard to protect existing information from inadvertently getting changed by a team member. It is likely a setting issue, but it was not clear how to prevent it at the time.
Simple and easy to use

Best Tool for detailed time tracking with projects & clients
Comments: I really like the user interface of Clockify, its simple and looks good but is not overdesigned or has too many details. It's a very clear experience when working with it.
Pros:
To me, Clockify is a pretty good time tracking platform for personal use or business, if you want to track tasks/ logs per project & client. It has many useful features like Clients, Projects, Project Tasks, Invoices. Time logs can have many fields or just as few as you want, that's essential to me. A task can be added to a project and a project task and can be labelled with tags, so you can categorize your logs.
Cons:
To me as a personal user with only a few tasks, the cost for an according plan is high, as I only need some features of other plans. I would like it better if there was an option to add single features as kind of add-on for a fair price. The mobile app is great too, but some useful features aren't yet implemented. But for basic logging it works, and more details can be added via web on desktop later.

Great for virtual assistants on retainer!
Comments: I think Clockify is the best option for me and my team as of right now, but there are certainly places where I think it could improve particularly on the client side and with notifications.
Pros:
I think my favorite thing about Clockify is that we can use it to track retainers for our clients. We simply put in the tasks with hour limits so that we can track our progress alongside how many hours have already been paid for. I haven't found any other platform on the market with this capability!
Cons:
I wish that the client side was a little more seamless. I don't want to have to pay for every single client that wants to see their progress on a retainer, but the only other option is to send them a shared report that doesn't show a project status. I also wish there were capabilities built in to where I could set a due date for projects and send notifications to my team if they are halfway through a retainer, falling behind or have completed used their hours. For example, we use the tasks within projects for our retainers which clients pay for upfront. So if a client pays for a 10 hour retainer, that is added in and assigned to the team member. They then look at the status to see how many hours they have used that have been paid for. I wish there was a way for me to set a due date that corresponded with the day that their next retainer would be paid and then send an email to my team member that says "hey you've used half your retainer!" or "hey, you are over your total retainer hours".

Comments: I love Clockify, it's easy to use, intuitive, and affordable.

The template makes things easy to duplicate, but it's not very robust for building in small differences like the color.

Comments: I am loving Clockify. I have 4 jobs and we all use clockify which makes it so simple and easy to jump from one chrome window to the next. I use it for my personal business and it saves me so much time, I used to use Excel and Paper to calculate my time. I use it with the other 3 jobs and although they use different task names and it's organized uniquely it is so simple. I recommend clockify to anyone needing time tracking, plus there is a free version that has all the features needed. Clockify saves me so much time!!

I love how easy it is to set up and to work with. I clock in and out from one task to the next with complete ease.

I am very satisfied with Clockify, If I had to provide a con I would have to say, I wish there was a way to set a setting to not allow more than one tag at a time. I run into switching from one company while doing the same task description. I click on the new company and the prior company stays selected. However, this is still an easy fix. I love Clockify!
Clockify covers all my time tracking needs and then some!..
Comments: Overall, Clockify has been incredibly helpful to track my time, especially as I frequently move between devices. I love how I can be tracking in the browser on my computer then later stop that tracking on my phone, and vice-versa. I've used other time tracking software in the past that had similar reporting and invoicing features. Clockify provides more customization and control out of the box. Add on features are affordable if needed.

Clockify is a full-featured app that works across platforms (hardware and software) to help me track my time for every type of project I'm involved in. I can easily review my metrics, create reports, and invoice clients.

The sign-in process has sometimes been a struggle when setting up Clockify on a new device or browser.

Useful for small business
Comments: I use Clockify for my small business (just me) to track my time on projects, I like being able to pull data from this month, or year, and filter by activity to help me price my services more accurately and to track certain hourly work that I provide which may go beyond my base contract amount.
Pros:
I appreciate that there's a free option, and for businesses that need less capabilities than a larger companies and need to save money when small, this is a helpful way to get started without incurring another cost.
Cons:
There are certain elements of the free version, like project templates, that seem like they could be included - it's not that hard to create the phases each time, it's just annoying and seems like a feature that could be included to help really small businesses like mine get ahead, which would entice me to use the paid product if I eventually grow and hire people. Similarly, having to manually mark time entries as billable if you forget to set it up right away seems like an odd speedbump in the free version that could be changed.
A Simple and Effective Time-Tracking Tool

The Best I've Found, with a Couple of Caveats.
Comments: It's been great, super fast to get up to speed with the basics and get to work! The oth4r thing that's been seriously amazing is the support team. I assume they're a small crew but they get you going again more clearly and faster than any big software company I've dealt with. Super-friendly and knowledgeable folks. You're chatting (or, I assume talking, if you're one of those weirdos who likes the phone 😂) in moments, and it's never taken more than 5-10 minutes to get the solution into my thick skull. This software is this critical to my livelihood, and that gives me enormous peace of mind.
Pros:
Clockify does everything that I need, without a ton of features that I'll never use convoluting the UI. It's pretty great. I'm a freelancer and I needed something to easily track time and tasks on various projects for several clients. This is that. I researched a lot, tried the trial, and really haven't looked back. I have recommended it to friends and colleagues and they're all still using it.
Cons:
I never did figure out how to customize the invoices exactly how I'd like. And I'd like a bit more flexibility in the grouping of items, i.e. it'd be nice to break down like this: PROJECT DATE TASK1: 3 hours TASK2: 1.5 hours etc. I may just be missing it, but if so, it's not obvious.

The core and basic functionalities are particularly impressive, with their user-experience and ease of use. For instance, time recording, task categorization using tags and projects, and the ability to invite multiple users to collaborate in the same workspace are all perfectly implemented features. They also have detailed and useful reports to understand team performance, how time is spent, and gives a lot of valuable insights. The free tier is particularly great for startups to organize their work without cost.
Cons:
The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, but it could benefit from some refinement and styling, especially the theme and colors. Occasionally, the user interface is a bit laggy, particularly the Mac desktop application.
Great Free Tool With Room for Improvement
Comments: Generally good. If the developer can improve it with my above recommendations, it would be a perfect tool and can substantially improve/ streamline the user experience.

I've been using Clockify on a daily basis for over 5 years and tracking 6000+ hours every year. 1. Free for core features, which are sufficient for personal usage 2. Comprehensive reporting function 3. Ability to create unlimited projects, sub-tasks, and tags to manage projects and time entries 4. Comprehensive search function
Cons:
1. Mobile version is bad. I've been just creating a webapp on the iOS desktop and use the webapp version rather than the iOS app. 2. The reason I say the iOS version is bad is that it requires you turn the iOS date/time picker wheel to set start/end times when entering manual entries. It is very time-consuming process. The time entry process could be substantially optimized. This is how: (1) Activate a numeric dialpad (rather than time picker wheel) when tapping the time entry to enter time; (2) change the * key on the dialpad to "AM"; change the # key to "PM". This way you can manually enter any time in 2s rather than 10s using the time picker wheel. 3. Lacking widget feature. I suggest adding a widget that gives you a button on the phone lock screen. It will allow you to press the button to record time without requiring you to enter all the time entry details/narratives when you are on the go. You can come back to add the narrative details later.
Project management - tracking work done
Comments: Overall my experience has been great. It helps me to see where my time is spent on projects and where there can be changes made for future projects.
Pros:
I like that clockify is easy to use. This program is great for tracking time on projects. In engineering we use time tracking to verify that we are not under/over charging for our services. We also use the different labels to pinpoint areas that use more time. The labels on each project help future projects for time use and how many areas there are that need time tracking.
Cons:
The only thing I do not like is sometimes when tracking times the program will not let me adjust times. For instance, I need to have the time start at 0800 and end at 1100. Once in awhile I will only allow 1059. No matter how many times I change it to 1100 it bounces back to 1059. I end up deleting that entry and putting it in again. Occasionally when needing to adjust times, getting the correct day and time is difficult. There have been times that the tracking went to another day; while adjusting the time/day it will not allow the correction resulting in deleting the event and re-enter the time/day for the project.

Apart from being an extremely useful tool, what I like most is that even the free license include so many features, that you can adopt this software in a very easy an rapid way in your organization, integrate it with your operative procedures and test if it really fullfill your needs.
Cons:
Conscious of being using a free license, I really dont know what to point as negative. I have been able to solve easily almost every aspect I have faced with this application, even using the API. So, I can not say nothing but Congratulation!

Worth the time!
Comments: I've been using the free version of Clockify for 4+ years now and it has made my life SO much easier. I have a better sense of how much time is being spent on each of my projects, and I submit my timesheets and progress reports on time now.
Pros:
Clockify simplifies the process of tracking time spent on projects, so that you can focus on your actual work and not have to waste time adding up minutes.
Cons:
The only issue I've experienced: When I export a detailed report as an XLSX spreadsheet, Excel is not able to interpret the Duration (h) column when I attempt to create pivot tables. This issue does not occur when the file is exported as a CSV. Steps I follow: 1. Export the detailed report as a spreadsheet 2. Select all data in the sheet and click Insert > PivotTable 3. Drag Category to Rows, then drag Project to Rows 4. Drag Duration (h) to Values 5. Change the Value Field Settings for Duration (h) to summarize the field value by Sum (instead of Count), then change the Number Format to [h]:mm This works as expected for CSVs, but not for XLSXs. Duration appears as 0:00 for all rows in the XLSX.
Essential Tool - try it for a week if you don't believe.
Comments: After using it for about 5-6 years, I see Clockify as an essential tool for myself and anyone who cares to ask my opinion. I have introduced it to many of my friends and colleagues (across disciplines) as a great way of recording and analysing their own time. It's quick, easy (online) and quiet (a background tool - that doesn't get in the way of working/doing the task.).
Pros:
It's ability to acurately track my daily activity across multiple jobs. I'm an architect working in a small team with many projects and as such, I need to jump between tasks to address things as they come in. The reporting and ability to accurately bill clients is our biggest reason for using Clockify.
Cons:
I have been unable to get on with the mobile and desktop apps. My main interface is through the web tracker. The interface on mobile is clunky and as we require projects to be assigned (to log time) it can cause bad habits when on mobile.
