Quick, easy, inventory management

Comments: It has helped us a lot. We use to have order chaos and a lot of time on the floor. Now we are able to perform ordering from a desk and quickly check stock.

Pros:

Ease of use and organization. There are some items I would like to see added for ease of use.

Cons:

Somethings are redundant. Some things are missing. Somethings, I have to make work for us. I would like to be able to export transaction data easier for trends and rates of decline, but I am a base plan user. I would like to be able to bulk update without creating a duplicate item. Makes it hard to edit one at a time and load or have to delete old duplicates when bulk importing updated info. Or, bulk apply alerts without them all needing the same min level.

Comments: Sortly has helped my company grow and manage our inventory much better than when we first started. We have had Sortly for a long time, but only recently started using it to its full extent. I use Sortly to create QR codes for each individual product and its variation and attach them to magnets on our shelves where products are stored. This makes it very easy for my team to scan products in and out of inventory. I also use Sortly when ordering products from vendors by searching for low or out-of-stock tags. This has made our inventory and product ordering process more streamline. I do wish that there were more of the features I outlined previously, such as integrations and bulk editing.

Pros:

I like how user-friendly the mobile app is for my employees when scanning in and out products. I also like how easy it is to create QR codes for multiple products, as well as the current bulk actions like adding tags, prices, etc. I also like the ability to add different users on one account so that I may have different devices set to scan products in my facility.

Cons:

I do not like that there is no automatic integration feature to upload my inventory to different Sales Channels like Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, and Etsy. Manually importing and exporting data becomes tedious and time-consuming. I also do not like that I cannot track which of my employees are scanning products. I would prefer if Sortly would track and report the times and devices from which products are scanned, so that if something is incorrect I can address it directly. I think the navigation between product folders and variations could be more streamline with less clicks when navigating on a desk top. I also would like for there to be more bulk editing actions, like bulk editing SKUs and Manufacturer Part Numbers instead of individually clicking and editing each variation. That is insanely time consuming when our catalog is extensive.

Great Inventory Tracking/Management

Comments: Great experience. Will continue to use at our company. Looking forward to any updates that will be coming out for this app

Pros:

The simplicity of adding and removing items from it. The ease of use was great when it came to logging information about our inventory. You can view the transactions and histories of items you have added and removed down to the exact minute. Great app overall

Cons:

Some of the folder accessibility was limited. The "Search" bar can be spotty if you don't type the item's name in exactly as it is in the system.

Comments: Ease of use, even for older people. My boss uses it with me and he has gotten so used to it that he doesn't want to stop it. Even with another inventory system, we use this as a back up inventory system.

Pros:

Very clean and super easy to navigate user interface. Easy navigation. Perfect search function. Browser based.

Cons:

It does what it is supposed to flawlessly, so nothing i didn't like about it. I wish there was a invoicing feature where it is integrated with Shopify directly and able to invoice things on Sortly. Also no integration with Shopify is what i least liked about Sortly.

Comments: It’s been good. Easy to use if a bit tedious for balloon decor.

Pros:

Having it be a visual format is great. It’s easy to use and fast to add new products or move products.

Cons:

Price especially the jump between the tiers. I’d love to see a price for like 5,000 more items rather than jumping from 20,000 to unlimited.

Comments: Overall Sortly is a huge resource for our inventory tracking for order processing and procurement services.

The ability to export our full inventory, and the ability to pull images of kitted items to send to techs in the field.

Super Happy with the product

Comments: By far the best customer service I've ever received. Even now after we've used it for several years, the service is still excellent.

Pros:

By far, the customer service. I haven't had any issues, but when I do have a question it is answered quickly.

Cons:

So far I haven't found an issue that we aren't happy with.

Best customization options in the field

Comments: My experience has been very positive. I have been able to tailor the program to my exact needs which are not 100% aligned with the intent of some of the features, but because of the customization can be made to be used in exactly the way I need it

Pros:

I selected Sortly due to the customization options. I use the program slightly different than it's intention which means the ability to customize is one of, if not the most important feature for my company. All other competitors I looked at did not offer enough customization making their programs not suited to my needs

Cons:

I have no complaints about Sortly at this time

Pros:

It's easy to use for my team. I'm not sure if they and I could use that easier complicated software. I like managing my team besides, I can see all the movements of my team easily and can check what they did.

Cons:

Now I have an issue about searching results. I have some items which have variants and when I search I see the variants instead of main item. I requested this to be fixed and sortly will take care of it hopefully.

The best low cost inventory management app

Pros:

First of all, the price is really good for all the benefits you have on the app. It is really simple and easy to use, you can do a lot of things with it and you won't need to take a class to learn how to use it.

Cons:

There are some features that we would like that it is not implement yet. For example, would be really good a button to undo an action that you did for a product.

Helpful but with quirks

Pros:

I like the ability to scan and easily print QR codes.

Cons:

That I cannot "undo" an action. That it is difficult for me to see Sortly history and to remember what went where and who moved it. I do not like that when moving an item into a folder, that the search cannot be specific- For example if I have the folder of "Jane Doe" in 12 different folders by month, and I want to move an item to "Jane Doe" in "July", I cannot search "Jane Doe July", I have to search "Jane Doe" and scroll through multiple "Jane Doe" entries to find her in "July". I also think the bar code scanner in the app could be improved. When you are scanning within a folder, and at the top there is a note that tells you what folder you are "searching within" I wish there was an easy way to click that and change it to search in another folder, rather than going back and selecting the folder and then going back to the barcode search scanner. Also, when I am scanning and searching within a folder and I "add a quick action" and want to "Choose folder before scanning", when I go to search for the folder in the search bar the search bar page looks strange saying "nothing to see to see here" and the search bar looks different and for a while I didn't realize could still use it

Beyond the Basics

Pros:

I like how thorough it is without being a full ERP or WMS. The price is right, and the learning curve slopes gently while still having deeper functionality available for those who want it.

Cons:

It's a bit clunky and takes a while to load sometimes, especially when using a mobile device. I would like more features for adjusting all locations of a product, and to customize what happens when I move all quantity of a SKU out of a particular folder and into another.

Comments: There are good things and bad things about Sortly. Over all it is easy to use and handy. Would like to know everything the system does so we can use it to it's full capacity.

Pros:

I liked that is was easily accessible on all plate forms from tablets, phones, and/or your computer.

Cons:

No Drop down boxes. I had to learn the system on my own. We were only shown how to do things by videos.

User-friendly Inventory management

Comments: I would highly recommend shortly. It makes inventory so much easier. I also love that. It has a feature where it shows the things that are low in stock all on one screen after I’ve completed inventory so I don’t have to go through and search every item.

Pros:

I really like that it’s user-friendly. Mobile, items are searchable and easy to notate exactly what is needed.

Cons:

Sometimes it glitches and says that my password is incorrect or it’s loading and I have to log completely out and log back in

A Necessary Program for Our Warehouse

Comments: Overall the experience with Sortly is great, could be a bit cheaper but what you get for features is well worth it.

Pros:

I liked the way i can type in any product that i think of and can find it on the app and know directly where it is in the warehouse. Saves a lot of time and money.

The cost is probably my least favorite thing about Sortly.

Sortly has helped operationalize our organization

Pros:

Sortly has helped our team track and manage assets. We initially started using the tool to better track and manage our hardware assets across all of our offices, however we've expanded to also tracking software applications and licenses. This has been an incredibly helpful tool to manage involuntary separations and have a one-stop-shop to know what our team members have and what hardware is available to us in each of our offices. This has resulted in cost savings because it's preventing unnecessary spend on assets we already have in our pocession.

Cons:

N/A The only thing that comes to mind is better reporting or customization for assets that are beyond technology.

Sortly is easy to set up and use in a Medical environment.

Comments: It has been great and has helped us be able to re-order supplies quickly and find the items we need through the different ordering websites we use. Having our techs be able to check inventory as well while running around if a huge time saver.

Pros:

How easy it was to scan barcodes and look up items and then modify the items to match our products. Being able to use Tablets and personal devices to install the app to be able to check inventory.

Cons:

We do with there was a better way to add and remove items from the inventory. We are still new to using the program but wish there was a quick way to scan a barcode to have it decrease inventory by one when someone takes an item.

Ease of search function especially mobile. Easy to update inventory.

Cons:

Most new features (Ex: PO generation) are locked in higher paid plans. As a Advanced plan user Sortly is very well priced compared to its competition. But getting an Ultra plan to unlock pretty basic features make it uncompetitive.

Comments: Have enjoyed the time savings this program has provided along with the parts tracker per vehicle/warehouse and the low level alerts.

Pros:

Once the program is setup and items are loaded the software is amazingly easy to use. Very helpful and the amount of time it saves is amazing.

Cons:

Takes a little to learn how to add and transfer. We have some Apple phones and Samsung phones it operates differently on the phones. It is easier to use on the computer.

Sortly as an inventory system

Comments: Recently the response time on changes when using PC's has slowed down.
It seems to be faster on a phone app.
Easy to set up, easy to customize, access anywhere, all pluses.
Better / easier reporting would be great..
Example, how many of an item have I added / removed in a given time period.

Pros:

Ease of use (intuitive) is at the top of the list. Access from anywhere.

Cons:

For an "Inventory Management" system, some reports are not created in the box that normally would go with this function.. We had the system for a year before there was a report that would indicate items that were actually BELOW indicated quantity level set. (previous reports showed AT or BELOW). The report still does not indicate the difference between minimum level to actual level. I add a column to the outputted excel report to indicate that difference. It is these types of items that are surprising to me that are not built in to an inventory system from the start.

Reasonable price (especially during our first year), compact, bar code scanning, reporting. Sortly regularly updates and is open to adding features suggested by customers.

Inability to report on some custom fields.
