I have been handed off several times. > > Onboarding has been a nightmare. I have had Elation for three months now and they still have not built my charts. That was the only way I was going to move EMR's-was if I didn't have to build all my own charts again. I was not given correct instructions for data download/upload and it has caused a huge lag. I have had to pay to keep both my old and new EMR open so I can have access to my patient data. I am having to build my patient charts as I see patients so they are not blank. I had a very kind onboarding person and she was very communicative. However, I think they may not have trained her properly or the entire system is not setup well. I have been handed over to the tech team and told some type of "retention" team was going to help as well. Mine is a very small physician practice and I chose this as my first EMR because I thought it would be a good fit for small practices. This company is not interested in working with small businesses or trying to improve their product or pricing to fit the small practice experience. They actually seem to enjoy flexing their muscles to force you to do what works better for them. It was a very disheartening experience to say the least and I hope others can learn from my experience.
