It has evolved into Simply Accounting and then Sage Accounting. in the 80's and 90's we used to pay between $200.00 to $500.00 yearly and had more for our money then today, you even owned your license. Nowadays it has been converted to subscription type, charge our clients thousands of dollars. and if you cancel your subscription, you can no longer use the software, not even adjust all entries. These days our clients pay thousands of dollars without even owning their licenses. There must be still some other software that allow you to have control over your license. This is insight contemplating to seek other solutions. Shame that in 2026, technologically we may be advanced, however ethically I have my concerns. I don't like the way it prints cheques - I have to manually adjust every PDF before I print it and type in the comment line. It's also super buggy and confusing to use. > > I am really disappointed with this software. I don't like using it at all.
