> **Pros**: Overall, I enjoyed my experience using The Housing Director\! It was a very user friendly and easy to play with software that allowed me to get what I wanted, when I wanted. Pulling reports, check-ins and check-outs, etc. we’re quite easy to do and accessible via my desktop or even on mobile.

> **Pros**: Personally, as a former Residence Life professional I have loved using The Housing Director.  THD offers so much to professionals that run college dorms or other properties.  A few of my favorite features are the ability to know in real-time who lives in what room at that moment, the ability to pull reports to gather information for your office, as well as billing.  Billing within THD is very easy and user-friendly especially if you have to remove any billing.  There is also the ability to have it on your phone, so this is great for student staff that may be given access to this.

> **Cons**: In my experience, THD has crashed a few times when we needed it the most, but their IT team tries to fix the issues as soon as they can.  To new users, it may take a while to get used to the system and all the features, as it can be a complex system.

> I personally loved THD.  Having the ability to check students in and out via my phone is great.  Having all the information that I need at the moment at my fingertips whether it is via cell phone or laptop was crucial for my former role in Residence Life.  I think once you get to understand the system and what functions you will use, THD is a wonderful software.

> **Pros**: I truthfully think that this is a great software if you are billing on residence hall terms, or have ALL housing options on the same billing terms or same license agreements. For our residence halls, this was a great option as far as what we needed for billing, due dates, etc. For our on campus apartments that were on lease agreements instead of license agreements, this did not meet our needs.
> 
> **Cons**: This was impossible to use for our apartments. We could not make billing work, due dates, room configurations, split billing, or anything work it felt like. We had to do all utility charges by hand because we could not make THD "talk to" the billing we used for the utility fees. Setting up room configurations was an absolute nightmare; we had students or room or bed spaces disappear for no reason. The patch updates we would get were an absolute mess, too. The data was so skewed and inaccurate from reporting that my staff and I literally had to keep an excel spread sheet which we manually updated (yes, utter nightmare) so we could have accurate data to refer to. Again, though, this was for the apartments at our university; res halls had a wonderful experience with this as far as billing, room set up, etc.

> For lease agreements I would not recommend utilizing this software, and would not recommend using this to manage two different types of agreements/billing cycles like we were.

> **Pros**: I used to use this software when I was a housing/residence life coordinator. It was extremely helpful for assigning roommates (based on survey questions), as well as performing room changes and assignments throughout the year. It was great for billing purposes, as well.

> **Cons**: Nothing\! Really :) It was great and super easy to learn and to use. Highly functional and practical, and made operations management a breeze.
> 
> It was and is a superb product for all your housing, assignments, and billing needs.
