The prompts to upgrade to Quizlet Plus are a bit annoying, but I understand the company is trying to make money.

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: I start using it to learn french and in the begining it help me a lot because i was only studying vacubalary. But in the with the passing of time when i wanted to do more complex card i can't so i have to use other software for that poruse

Pros:

All the features are easy to use. I love that they include the funtion to search other users study sets so you can use it too. Also all the study modes that it have really help you changing your study type.

Cons:

A lot of the most interesting features that it have are restricted to the premium version so for simple study cards its okay but if you want something more elaborated ones you will be very limited.

Quizlet 5/10

3.0 last year

Pros:

Integrating quizlet was very easy. It is a very simple application and can be used for many things; learning strategies, testing learning, reviewing items, etc.

Cons:

I felt like there were some issues with the reporting tool and advancing different things. I wanted to do interactive style quizzes, but quizlet didnt offer that. Although it had interactive features and gamification, it wasnt as much as an application like Kahoot or Quizizz

Great Review Tool

4.0 last year

Comments: Great experience overall. Students love when I allow them to use Quizlet to review.

Pros:

Digital reviews allow students to own their learning and review key vocabulary. I also like the feature where students can create their own digital flash cards.

Cons:

Some of the features are dated. Maybe Quizlet can update their digital games/functions for student vocabulary review.

Quizlets

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I absolutely love the site, it’s a real big help for kids, teens and anyone who’s in school honestly, it’s a nice study guide and cheat sheet if you have take home tests or tests online.

Pros:

I like the functionality of it and how helpful it is on tests and quizzes, you can use it for studying, it’s very versatile and they have tests/quiz answers for literally ANY test given in the US.

Cons:

There are some tests given by instructors that don’t have all study questions/answers on Quizlet or they might not have them in order or the test you have, you might have to scroll through a few questions just to get to a question/answer you’re looking for

Nothing but an A+ with Quizlet!!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Quizlet got me through some tough classes, I was able to study anywhere at anytime, as long as you have your phone if you have 10 or 15 to yourself you can study which is what I did while I was working. Having that in my back pocket at all times made to squeeze in a little study time at any time.

Pros:

Quizlet is very easy to use, not only can you build custom flash cards in a way that works for you, but you can also share them with others. What I love most is that there are cards from everywhere for every subject that you may need, you will never fail with Quizlet.

Cons:

No cons for me!, I have no complaints, I would recommend this app to everyone anytime, if there were any kinks it was so small that I paid it no mind.

Pros:

I've used this in school on a few occasions. Works great as a way of checking what they know without it being seen as something "boring".

Cons:

Would always be better to have more templates for easier production of the quizes.

Quizlet Review

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Quizlet is a very helpful tool for students, not only before exams.

Pros:

I used Quizlet to learn almost every subject at the university. Big advantage it that it is possible to share the projects with your classmates which saves them (and you) a lot of time. Everyone can find a way of learning he/she prefers (e.g. matching cards, consecutively browsing flashcards, etc.

Cons:

For students it is pretty expensive tool and the free version is limited (for example it is not possible to put photos to the flashcards).

Quizlet is an amazing learning tool

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, I will continue using Quizlet for memorization-based classes, as it is an interactive way to learn the course material. Also, the options to view study sets made by other students allows me to ensure that I know all the information necessary for a particular concept.

Pros:

The feature I enjoyed the most with Quizlet is the various options available to study class materials such as fun interactive games like "Gravity", multiple-choice options, matching terms, etc. Quizlet was great for my classes that required memorization such as anatomy, physiology, and biology. I also enjoyed Quizlet's option to explore flashcard sets made by other students, which made it easy to compare sets and see if I missed any core concepts.

Cons:

The advertisements displayed on Quizlet can sometimes be distracting or get in the way while using the software. Also, some flashcards made by other users could have misspelled words or wrong information on them.

With last update, Quizlet lost the most effective way to memorize words

3.0 3 years ago

Comments: Used this app both to learn and teach vocabulary. The most effective section was the WRITE section, which tested you in groups of 7 words and had you repeat the words until you could produce the word without mistakes. With that feature gone and available only in the Learn section, app has lost most of its academic value.

Pros:

I used this app myself and always had my students practice new language vocabulary with this app. Most of my language classes use this app to practice for vocabulary exams. Best features and my students’ favorites were the Flashcards themselves, the Test and the Write sections. However, with the elimination of the WRITE section from the main menu, I won’t recommend this app any more and will look for alternatives. the WRITE section really helped students and me memorize and internalize words and produce them actively. With that feature gone and available only in the Learn (now paying) the app lost most of its attractiveness.

Cons:

The elimination of the WRITE section from the main menu. Moving this section to the Learn feature was a BIG mistake (though it may make sense financially). This was perhaps the most effective section to have students produce language actively. The Flashcards are normally used for recognition rather than production. I would like this app to incorporate more languages for automatic reading, for example Vietnamese.

Fast and easy way to use Flashcard quizzes and to study!

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Great! Not much to critique it on. I have been using it since I was a child and now that I'm teaching other kids/students, I have passed it on to them!

Pros:

It is very easy for both teachers and students to use. My students use it for vocabulary practicing on a weekly basis (two times a week at least) and their improvement is usually pretty clear. There are different ways and games that help students learn and the system remembers which terms they need more help on (starred terms) and will repeat those more often. It doesn't take me too long to make a Quizlet which I find very convenient and time saving! My students tell me they make quizzes for themselves and find the process of manually creating the quizzes helpful and easy because it helps them learn the content. The flashcard feature was great because when you tapped the flashcard, the definition or the explanation would show. It helps a lot with studying.

Cons:

Quizlet used to be a completely free app, now it is requiring users pay for features that used to be free. While the membership fee isn't a lot compared to other fees, it is still a fee and some students prefer not to use Quizlet to its fullest extent because of it. Nothing else I would criticize Quizlet for!

Comments: Overall, I have Quizlet to thank for all my passing of tests due to the ease it makes studying. It allows me to refresh my knowledge and continue to learn.

Pros:

This is the easiest software to organize your notes and note cards. I like the different styles of quizzing/learning they provide. Being able to make flash cards is my favorite!

Cons:

Sometimes it is hard to navigate on a mobile phone and it makes it inaccessible.

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: My students really improved with the practice on Quizlet. I could see the progress with test scores and with everyday vocabulary usage.

Pros:

Cons:

Alternatives Considered:

Quizlet is great, but it needs some updates

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

I like the ability of the app to replicate index cards. Keeps me a lot more organized

Cons:

I think the format of quizlet is a little boring compared to its competitors. I wish there was more of a competitive component like Kahoot

Great study tool for students!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: I had an overall great experience with Quizlet! I use it to study for every test and find it extremely helpful. I have recommended Quizlet to many other students.

Pros:

Quizlet is a great study tool for individuals to use virtually! Using the "Create set" feature, users are able to make flashcards set for each course. Users are also able to organize their sets into folders which makes finding things extremely easy. Quizlet also makes memorizing definitions easier for students by incorporating different ways of studying. For example, users are able to use flashcards, test themselves and play study games!

Cons:

Although this app is very useful and user friendly, I wish that pictures could be added to flashcards. Unfortunately, without a premium version the user cannot add pictures or bold text in flashcards.

Pros:

Quizlet is simple and easy to use. Their review and learn features are very effective, and through goal setting, you can customize your experience to benefit your particular learning style.

Quizlet is a highly underrated studying tool everyone should be using.

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Before I got Quizlet I often found myself struggling when it came memory based topics and subjects. Using Quizlet was seamless and streamlined, meaning I didn't have to worry about anything but my study material. I found myself using its its flashcards anywhere I could fid the time, in between class sessions, during free time and even before going to bed. I believe more and more people should know just how amazing a software Quizlet is.

Pros:

the flash cards were easily my favorite feature within the mobile app. Its allowed me to brush up, memorize and easily understand subjects that previously challenged me. That said, I believe the best part about it is the fact that it is free to use.

Cons:

Though highly understandable why they are incorporated, the Ads within Quizlet could be a distraction to students with shorter attention spans. I, for the most part, found no problem with them.
