Citric Workspace: Best Desktop Remote Accessing Tool

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: The overall experience is quite good and it provide a seamless experience of working and accessing the desktop remotely for most of the applications.

Pros:

The best things which I like about Citrix Workspace is its ability to access a computer remotely for a long session time which allows companies to provide remote working opportunities to its employees.

Cons:

Some of the apps like Microsoft Teams doesn't work properly like when someone is sharing the screen, it is not visible in the system with which we are accessing the desktop remotely.

A good service

3.0 2 months ago

Comments: I think citrix is a great functional service for the hospital to transfer information through each base.

Pros:

I like the access it provides to other apps around the hospital. its an easy way to connect through each hospital base or computer and bring over its files or information.

Cons:

Not being able to close out with one simple click. it takes me to end task manually instead of letting the functions close all together.

A great product for all your VDI requirements

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Citrix workspace allows to easily connect to VDI's and also allows to connect multiple VDI's at once .Its interface allows to track all VDI's allotted to you

Pros:

It stores all information of all the virtual desktops (VDI)allotted to my account and allows to connect to them securely. Recently switched to cloud citrix workspace and the interface has improved a lot and is very intuitive and fast compared to the desktop version

Cons:

Some times it doesent display all the VDI's alloted to your account a refresh needs to be manually done to reflect all the active VDI's .

Honest Citrix Feedback

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: It's not the worst product, and I'm able to still get the job done, but I still struggle with the lack of efficiency.

Pros:

I find it extremely helpful that Citrix allows me to have a workspace to perform database needs in a remote environment.

Cons:

I think Citrix is honestly very clunky, and slow. It seems to be a struggle to open the link sometimes, and also inefficiently runs in the background. I don't think it's the most user friendly of systems.

A Great Interaction With Our Tessitura Environment

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: A great software that works with and interacts with Tessitura seamlessly.

Pros:

Works great with our Tessitura implementation to allow the software to load.

Cons:

Sometimes issues with it getting stuck and having to force close app or call Tessitura to get sessions unstuck. Updates have caused issues in past with display size of fonts on screen.

Citrix Workspace, a decent solution of what's presently available

4.0 11 months ago

Pros:

Citrix is relatively user friendly and reliable and also has a public site where the software can be obtained.

Cons:

Too many versions of the software. There needs to be an adoption of a universal installer file that can determine your operating system automatically rather than having to dig through the versions on the site. It can also be difficult to use, especially if a user has to access local files for uploading/downloading via a browser.

Decent but there's room for improvement

3.0 4 months ago

Comments: It's decent but there's room for improvement.

Pros:

It's nice to be able to keep the clients environment seperated from my own.

Cons:

I constantly get logged out of the browser session which is really annoying. The connection to the remote session is often quite buggy as well.

Easy for Teams to Learn, Brings Security and Peace of Mind for Clients.

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, very positive. If any issues come up, it is usually easy to work through and ultimately we have never had any major issue where Citrix didn't function properly. Teams quickly scale and it gives everyone peace of mind.

Pros:

Citrix environment is familiar, it is very secure and it enables access to necessary systems, software and sensitive data. Almost everyone new that comes across a Citrix environment learns it quickly. It's easy to toggle between the Citrix Workspace and the typical Desktop but it locks down features like copy/paste between the two for security.

Cons:

Sometimes if you have two Citrix environments running at the same time there can be problems. For example, when running Citrix on a thin client machine and then needing to launch a separate client-side Citrix environment to access particular information hosted on a client site, sometimes you'll see software stall out or not function well. When troubleshooting, the first question for the software is usually "Are you running Citrix?" and then they tell you they're working on a patch to fix known Citrix issues for the software.

Inconsistent

3.0 4 years ago

Comments: The most beneficial part is being able to work from anywhere and on any computer. It's made the transition during the pandemic doable for my entire company.

Pros:

I like how I'm able to access my company's remote server on any one of my computers and anywhere in the world.

Cons:

It is spotty and at times, it says I'm logged in but doesn't fully log in. The app doesn't work on my Mac or Dell so I always have to log in through a web browser.

Great when it works

2.0 4 years ago

Comments: With the exception of poor integration from our tech support, I have been very happy with Citrix as it does what it needs to do.

Pros:

When it works, it gives no issues. Allows me to remotely access my work desktop, and integrates nicely with my Mac; all of my peripherals work, and it is secure.

Cons:

I am hardwired to Fiber Optic internet, yet occasionally (2-3 times a day) Citrix will lose connection and this requires that I wait 2 full minutes before I'm able to re-sign in. This has a negative effect on my productivity, especially as it is unpredictable. I believe that this may be how my tech team integrates it, but it is still a major inconvenience.

Citrix Pros and Cons

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: All in all, I will give a neutral review. The reason is, having a continuous connection with the tools I'm using to be able to assist my subordinates will still be efficient on my end. But would still like to use it because the issue I'm experiencing does not apply every time.

Pros:

I'm a Subject Matter Expert in an IT company and we are using Citrix to be able to use the tools that require the Companies Intranet. The good thing about the software is being flexible, as I can access the tools I need to pullup inside Citrix without me using the Company's computer. User friendliness is also a good thing for this application, it is very easy to use because of it's interface.

Cons:

Things I would not like with the application is, sometimes it is sluggish and disconnects. I experience it, and being a Subject Matter Expert I need to respond to my subordinates with their queries and assist them with their tasks.

Citrix Workspace

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Citrix Workspace has improved from several years ago and now works seamlessly in the background with other applications that require it.

Pros:

Citrix Workspace allows me to connect to other required software and provides a secure safety net in order to do so. It's primarily in the background while using other apps, but runs smoothly.

Cons:

When we first started using this software ~5 years ago, there were definitely some kinks and the program did not always run smoothly. They seemed to have worked the kinks out and the product has greatly improved.

In invaluable tool in my job working from home

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall, Citrix Workspace is a valuable tool for Customer Service agents especially those working from home. It gives you access to the different programs needed to do the job and all the apps are consolidated in the general citrix workspace page.

Pros:

I like that it is user friendly, generally very reliable and has needed applications in one page.

Cons:

My biggest pet peeve about this software is that it times out throughout my shift. When that happens it forces me to have to log back in and can throw my open apps out of synch.
