Collections hasn't been my main museum work up until now, but with CatalogIt, it was easy to complete a catalog of a 3,000-item library, and use the newly-created catalog to complete an inventory\! The learning curve was fast, especially coming from Past Perfect, and once I understood the structure, the search functions and inventory control features were very helpful. It is veneered, so you can create a file and return again and again to add data and depth to the file. It has great connectivity between people, other files, and genres. I feel confident in training others with little background to use the system. I greatly appreciate the "Other Names and Numbers" field as I can link previous attempts to organize maps and photos.
