Best Maintenance software

Not the best for Maintenance
Comments: it has not been good they didn't give us enough training on the system before they rolled it out to my guys so I'm learning with them and I can't help them as I should. and the person who set it up messed it up so bad that I spend more time fixing pm, location, asset, etc. that I can't focus on any other parts of the program
Pros:
you can customize the pm's to do all kinds of stuff, it is very easy to search for work orders and parts, and you can add files and pictures to the assets, it will be nice to be able to scan a QR code and it will show you the part or asset but we haven't gotten that part set up
Cons:
I hate when you search for an asset when I type my equipment number it will give me every single asset that has any of the numbers For example if I look 1001 I am going to get every machine with any of those numbers and usually the one I typed in will be at the bottom. you can't search the history of an asset on the iPad what's the point of even carrying the iPad my guys troubleshoot by looking at the history of that asset. you can't add more than one asset to a work order so my guys have to fill out multiple work orders and that takes up their time they could be doing something else. You can't look up how many assets my guys are responsible for it only shows how many work orders they have so if they have 100 work orders it is counting if they have any duplicates that's not helpful when trying to see who has what asset
MaintainX in Affordable Housing Management
Pros:
MaintainX's ability to customize procedures to cater to the specific needs of our company, while being extremely adaptive to help us comply with the ever-changing regulations in affordable housing, has been an integral part in our success in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation. The user interface is extremely easy to use and is a huge bonus for our staff that are not the most technologically inclined because they find it easy to use. Lastly, the extremely responsive customer service ties the whole product together and makes it one of the best investments our company has made.
Cons:
There is not much, if even anything, to dislike about MaintainX. The only thing I would like different is another tier in between the premium and enterprise plans, to satisfy the need for slightly more features without having to pay the much higher price for enterprise when a majority of those features aren't applicable to us.
Game Changer
Comments: Exceptional, anytime I need help their quick to respond and resolve and it has been a major game changer for our company

No non user input for things like inspections, meters, etc.
1st Year Use - Review

Hendersonville Parks and Recreation
Comments: All of the staff has been wonderful getting us on boarded and started with the program. It has truly been a game changer for our maintenance staff

Workorder tracking has made a huge difference for us in both efficiency and productivity

Asset Maintenance has been a little difficult for us to get the hang of.
MaintainX is the best!
Comments: My overall experience with MaintainX is very very positive.
Pros:
I like the ease of use with MaintainX while still having a very fair and reasonable price. [sensitive content hidden], my account rep has been the best help and can answer any question I may have. Super easy to use, nothing beats it.
Cons:
There are not many things I can complain about but if I were to mention one thing it would be a better way to filter the sections but it is near perfect.
Accessible
Comments: I like using MX, its great to have all the info i need in one spot
Pros:
its very accessible. Its a great platform to store equipment information and documents associated with the equipment. I like the layout of the panels. I use MX quite often, and find it better than the old system we would use.
Cons:
I find it a little annoying that I have to correctly search in "asset" or "work order" for a specific item. I would find it to type in the WO or asset number into a general search bar and then all the potential info would come up. Its almost too specific. If i get a # wrong nothing would come up. Id prefer MX suggests items based on your search entry

Upgraded from Excel
Comments: Our experience has been wonderful! Our customer success manager [sensitive content hidden] has been amazing. She is quick to answer any questions or jump on a meeting to walk us through something that is new to us. I would recommend MaintainX a thousand times over.
Pros:
MaintainX has allowed us to better track our assets and our preventative maintenance. We have gotten rid of our outdated Excel sheets and upgraded to a system that keeps track of everything for us and reminds us when we have missed something. MaintainX has cut down on our data entry time as everything only needs entered once and not new every year.
Cons:
We've had MaintainX for over 6 months now and have yet to find a con.

MaintainX - A superb CMMS solution for businesses big and small
Comments: I would highly recommend this solution to any company big and small. I think the more users out the more the product will improve for everyone. The team is great and the product is streamlined and very customizable and I am able to achieve everything I needed when I was initially looking for a solution.
Pros:
I love the continued development of the product. I work very close with the MaintainX team, and they have developed functionality that we felt was required for our business needs. The customer service is top notch, and I don't worry about issues I run into because they come up with a solution quickly.
Cons:
I would like to have the ability to customize fonts and highlight important text. Also, integrating with Excel would be a huge improvement.
Maintain X
Comments: It has been great moving to Maintain X. They always work with us for our success!
Pros:
Maintain X has such great features and after doing A LOT of research and testing of other platforms, out performs all that I have found. It is very user friendly (which is helpful for folks who are used to working on the tools and not as much with technology). The support we get is great - from chat to our account manager. They have always tried to work with us to find ways we can utilize the system in a way that works for us. We use it everyday all day for work orders (Reactive), and preventative (PM) and it has been a dream since we implemented it over a year ago now. We also use another app that has integrated well with helping us automate other jobs that we used to manually put into Maintain X.
Cons:
Pricing is per seat - it would be great if there was a package price for unlimited users or even "up to 30 or 50" users. It would be nice to be able to access reporting on mobile. Would like more than just 1 level of hierarchy (parent/child) in assets and locations.

Great system geared towards technicians for ease of use
Comments: Overall experience has been great so far. I have no regrets in switching to MaintainX.
Pros:
MaintainX is a great system for technicians as it's very easy to grasp and train anyone one. Implementation was quick and near seamless for us. Support has been phenomenal. Overall it's a great system to scale with.
Cons:
I have no real bad things to say about it. Just like any system you use there will be some road blocks on certain features based off how the program is written but it is not anything that hasn't been able to be worked around.
Great streamlined program
Comments: We have had a great experience with the program. I would love it if adding a new user it automatically went to a requestor vs automatically wanting to add them as an admin. We have had times when we accidentally tossed someone in the wrong category resulting in charges we didn't need.
Pros:
the ease of use including the optional phone app!
Cons:
we find the reporting side to be a little bit clunky but have had wonderful customer service in troubleshooting!

MaintainX makes organizing and showing corrective actions for inspections easy!
Comments: Overall MaintainX has helped keep our managers and operators on task with what needs to be done and when.
Pros:
It automatically creates corrective action work orders for items that need correction.
Cons:
The lack of being able to get alerts for work orders that are due.

Comments: Amazing and wish we would have found and been able to deploy the product years earlier. But so happy we have made the switch!
Pros:
The ease of use and features plus the incredible response from the entire team from management to tech support is amazing.
Cons:
Nothing at all! I have worked in several systems and by far this is my favorite.

MaintainX drastically improve over efficiency
Comments: MaintainX is the reason we have gone from an overall plant efficiency of 60% to over 95%. It allowed us to follow the trends and develop a maintenance plan to drastically reduce down time.
Pros:
There are so many features that are great it is hard to pick just one. But I would say the the top three are: PARTS Inventory and Repeatable Work Orders with Procedures and Meters.
Cons:
The lack of file structure in the Procedure library.

Excellent Customer Support
Comments: MaintainX has been on of the smoothest software integrations I've been apart of.
Pros:
MX's customer service and support team is outstanding. Always knowledgeable and available to help.
Cons:
The mobile application does not offer 100% of the features provided in the desktop version.
MaintainX is a no brainer.
Comments: The customer support, price, and functionality is second to none. We've saved thousands of dollars by catching problems before they arise with repeatable work orders and tracking. All my staff catch on to the simple interface immediately and use it in their day to day because it isn't cumbersome at all.
Pros:
The app is a game changer for my onsite techs. They know what to do, they know where to communicate, and everything is tracked in a superb way.
Cons:
Some of the features are beyond our needs and having the ability to customize the work order submission menu to remove areas we dont use would be good to streamline the back end.
Everything I need in one place
Comments: I've been an industrial mechanic for over 25 years. I've worked with shelves of parts catalogs with phone numbers and names scribbled on them, with faded faxes, photocopies and breakdowns stapled to the covers or stuffed into binders with manuals with missing pages. Spreadsheets with lines and lines of parts numbers and costs, inspection paper sheets covered in dirt and grease, static-y two-way radios for site equipment service calls, drawers full of half-used PO books with conflicting numbers that mean nothing (I can use YYYYMMDD-HHMM as my PO numbers now!) And that was the trade life. Now there's MaintainX. ALL OF THAT in one easy to find place, at your desk or on your phone. The job is still challenging. But MaintainX makes it easier.
Pros:
It links suppliers to POs to spare parts inventory, which links to the assets, which links to inspections, which links to downtime tracking, which links to the mobile app so operators can call for service and automatically leave a record of it on the asset in question...
Cons:
Seriously, the only thing that irks me a bit is when I order parts or supplies that have more than two decimal places in the cost. And I hear they're working on that ;-).
High School Rennovation/Addition
Pros:
I like that it is user friendly. We have a unique situation where we have turned over parts of a school and are still in site building new areas. MaintainX has allowed us to field maintenance requests from teachers for the entire school and it allows us to determine if it is new construction (contractor issue) or existing areas (school maintenance issue). Before MaintainX we were getting phone calls about the issues and now every teacher has access to MaintainX to submit a work order that we can track and get fixed without a middle man.
Cons:
I wish that I could get a PDF print out of filtered work orders that has the description of the work order. There is a summary printout now but it only shows the title. I wish it were to show the entire work order, or at least the description/comments.

Comments: We have operated this platform for three years roughly and have loved it, I would like to have reporting that is designed for the customer processes and kpi's as well as an integrated PM Plan/Scheduler

Wonderful solution for our needs
Comments: Overall MaintainX is a Great software that was easy to startup, use and capture the needed data per all of the regulatory requirements in healthcare. Support and service has always been wonderful and a pleasure to work with.
Pros:
Ease of use and integration and setup. MaintainX was a easy system to setup and works well in a large environment.
Cons:
Ability to edit the request portal and lack of inspections apart of the solution, without an integration with another software. Would be great if MaintainX would partner with SafetyCulture as a single source solution.
