I couldn’t use our back office is not working as an excuse not to do the work I needed to do because they fixed the problem I had so quickly!!
The worst company I’ve ever seen
Comments: I would never recommend this company. The customer service I’ve experienced has been a joke, no refund 7 months into contacting them about it, absolutely no help. Closed my ticket without issuing the refund, I attached bank statement proofs of the money they took from me and there has been absolutely no help giving me back my €113, the worst I’ve ever seen in my life. How a successful company can take €113 off of a small business, not even send the product I was charged for and still not giving my money back after receiving proof? Unsure how this is even sustainable. Robbing from small businesses, absolutely disgusting and shocking behaviour. How many customer service representatives have to send it on higher to get a refund? I would never recommend epos now to anyone.

Epos now scammed me out of money. I purchased a full bundle in January for €113 and never received the till, now 7 months later I’m contacting them every day for my refund and being passed around like a spare part with absolutely NO help from anyone of them.

The most comprehensive EPOS solution
Comments: We was on an old EPOS and having upgraded to EPOS now allows me amazing insight into my business, I can see my busy periods, get comprehensive sales reports, stock reports and instantly add products across my stores.
Pros:
The most comprehensive EPOS solution for retailers. Cloud data and live sales on your app which by the way is equally as good. I have seen a fair few and this is by far the market leader.
Cons:
I've personally had a bit of bad luck with printers, but thankfully I took the care plan which allows me to warranty my equipment no quibble and quickly.

From start to present the overall experience has been pleasant with only 1 or 2 minor issues which were swiftly resolved once support were contacted.
The equipment works well and as most of it is cloud based it is all very streamlined.
Pros:
The cloud based back office is great as I personally am not based in the business where our tills are but can access almost everything remotely. Also, on the rare occasion I have required technical support I have faced almost zero hold time and had an exemplary service to fix my issues.
Cons:
It would be nice if I could view the 'till' screens remotely without paying for an extra license. Just to move buttons around etc not to use to actually be a 3rd Till device. Also the bulk import tool should really be included free as part of the package instead of an app with additional subscription cost... although we only really needed it to get setup and the free trial was long enough it would still be handy to have access to this feature.

Eposnow getting better
Comments: As mentioned in the pros section, Eposnow have become a lot better over time with better call answering times. I must say, if there is a genuine problem, they do seem to listen and act on your concerns.
Pros:
Eposnow have got a lot better over time. When we first started with them back in 2020 there were a lot of teething problems with the system and mis selling. This has now been solved and we generally have a trouble free system. Their call answering times have gone a lot better albeit there is a long menu to get to the right solution.
Cons:
See above for the cons. I would like their system to be a bit more retail friendly and more flexible, but I suppose you cant have everything.
Don't waste your time or money
Comments: I purchased the system with the understanding that they are experienced in Retail POS and that their program could handle alot of products with variants. From the start there have been magor problems. This includes no power/ connector cord for the credit card machine, barcode scanner didn't work, (even my barcode scanner didn't work), constant error messages throughout training, adding products into system and the system would quadruple the items, no technical support even when customer service said they would contact me the same day, system will knock you out of the system in the middle of setting up an item, inconsistent ability to enter info into the system because specific add on sections would disappear and after all of that if you decide that the system is to unreliable and inefficient to meet your needs they will charge you a huge early cancel fee( i guess they have had a huge amount of customers wanting to cancel) my advice...RUN!

Comments: My experience has been great for the most part. I am still in the honeymoon stage with EPOS and have had to ask for help on specifics.

Not fit for purpose
Comments: Terrible, they have had months of money out of us and we have had 2 weeks of service from them, they need to release the contract obligation and stop theifing money from our small business.
Pros:
We were promised the earth and the customer service delivered nothing, we told them that we need the system for our farm shop and it needed to weigh fruit and vegtables and lots of cheese etc, so we purchased the scales ( very expensive) and was told it would all be easy, i made it clear i had staff of all ages and they explained it would be easy. it was not! it was so slow, it took nearly 65/70 secounds per item, it was taken 10 minutes to serve one customer it was terrible. we explained this, nothing changed, so we had to stop using it, for 14 months since i have been trying to stop the payments coming out of bank and all the time they say "we are in contrat" but what about there contract obligation of a working product fit for purpose! its disgusting and every month they take the money.
Cons:
The fact that they belive they have the right to keep taking monthly payments for doing noting, for providing no service, they can see from our log ins we used it for two weeks, it was so bad we nearly lost our business over it!

System functions and education training
Pros:
The background circumstances and operation are relatively straightforward; however, the education, training, and assistance in establishing services are inadequate. Consequently, the operation was somewhat erratic when we commenced operations. There are numerous report functions; however, the data that is extracted from various reports frequently does not correspond to the account. The POS system was unable to locate the backend reports on two occasions, despite the fact that payments were received using Payment Pro+ on-site.
Cons:
online service, report issues and problem resolve ability open table integration has failed again and again but no one can help
If in Australia and in hospitality - do not buy this system
Comments: Although the Australian Eposnow team try to help and are friendly, they are inexperienced and short staffed. It seems they are working business hours of 9-5pm on Queensland time, which does not suit Australian hospitality where the time zones are different for at least 6 months of the year; and businesses are open 6am until 9pm.
Pros:
Ease of implementation Inexpensive Reporting Apparent integration to existing banking systems
Cons:
The support is only in QLD business hours. The integration with banking systems is not with Australian banks only Tyro. This software is only for retail businesses, and would be good; is not for hospitality venues - receipts are restrictive and are not set out for hospitality and the kitchen dockets are complicated and difficult to read.

Terrible Customer Service
Comments: This system isn't as good as the one we changed from. Our old system got bought out and we were forced to change and I talked to many reps and looked at reviews and I can say that I was misled. Our system is supposed to come with 24 hour customer service and it definitely doesn't.
Pros:
Easy to set up and use for basic functions
Cons:
No ability to set specific times for orders to be prepared by. With so many take out orders happening, it would be nice to have the ability to have a set way to tell the kitchen when an order was being picked up instead of using "notes". It is terrible that if a bartender adds drinks to a ticket, the ticket gets switched to the bartender's ticket. Now our bartender has to keep paper tabs for customers and give them to the servers so that the tickets don't get switched. The worst is the almost non-existent customer service. If you need help "fast", forget it. I've waited on average of over 40 minutes to speak to a tech support member. Once I get them, they are helpful, but getting to them is crazy. I've tried the WhatsApp with the same problem. I've sent messages and didn't get any response for over a half hour. They make it sound like you will get immediate help, this is absolutely not true. I feel like once you are past your first month, you are on your own...they really don't care about you or any issues you might have. I am very unhappy with my decision to choose this POS system.
Not meant for middle to large businesses
Comments:
I am the shipping and receiving manager for my company. A few of my daily tasks is to post and receive 200+ invoices weekly. Inventory management, market retail adjustments, sales reports, purchase orders, etc. It'd a very busy job. When we first got this EPOS NOW system we started having issues and they informed us the application at the time was unstable and so they switched us over to a web browser format. (First red flag).
Every day I get constant "timed out" errors because their servers have too many users. As I write this review, it's been almost 2 hours now that I can't post and receive any invoice. There's also the too many users are online so your task has been killed pop up. Which literally means "try again".
They are constantly trying to add new features, but don't address and resolve the instability of their service.
There's also a huge problem with the feature "notes" which is where we add the invoice number of every invoice/po entered in to the system. I told them that 90% of these notes are erased from the system days after posting. They said that's not a priority of theirs. So, I told them it's definitely a priority for a market that processes hundreds of invoices weekly. Helps us search entries i.e duplicate invoices, etc.
This system is good for smaller businesses (such as a bar/restaurant). But not for middle to large businesses.
Pros:
Easy to navigate menu. Seems pretty straight forward.
Cons:
The constant "hang". Unable to connect. They keep adding features to the system without fixing the instability of current features and service connection.
Modifiable POS System that is easy to use, quick update availability, and economically friendly
Comments: When researching POS systems, I ran across a plethora of them out there. I set up online displays where I could interact with different systems. The problem I encountered is that we are a hardware, tool, and lumberyard retail store. With this means thousands upon thousands of products, skus, and etc. In addition, lumber prices fluctuate weekly. As a result, we have to have the capability of easily modifying prices. From the 6 different POS systems I interacted with, Epos Now was the simplest, user-friendly, and MOST economical. In addition, the customer service and response time to questions before we ever purchased the system was almost instantaneous. When your livelihood depends on being able to make sells, update products, add products, create applicable categories, track sales, itemize most often sold products, track profit/loss margins, and etc., it is a necessity to have a company that will grow with you and teaches you how to continually grow. For us, Epos Now has been phenomenal. The quick customer response and having your own 'handler' so to speak is great! I seek assistance from (Epos Now representative), and he never fails. He is quick to respond, quick to offer aid, and he teaches the program. He isn't a fixer where you have to continually call to have the same issue fixed. He is an educator. He teaches me about the errors I create when I am utilizing the system, and he demonstrates how to solve the problem.
Pros:
What I like most about the product is the simplistic layout, the fact that the system is economical, the ease of learning the system, the quick access to help when it is needed. If your POS system fails, you have to have access to help and Epos Now is there when you need it-you don’t have to wait days to hear back. Another feature that I love is the tracking and reports. I love that I can track what customers order and be able to send emails when customers make payments on their credit accounts is phenomenal. Our customers love this feature.
Cons:
I wish the measurement was in standard measurements instead of metric. For example, we sell nails and screws by the pound, but in the system we don't have the option to choose pound, but it isn't the end of the world instead we set it up as l (liter) but when you establish the cost it doesn't matter if it is showing as l or lb because you set it up as cost per 1 unit-whatever unit you choose to use. This is the same issue with measurement instead of foot, there is a meter, but it is still manageable without the standard measurement. The only option currently with Epos Now is metric, but it is my understanding that standard measurement is coming soon.
NONE EXISTENT Customer Service!!
Comments: Contacted EPOS now invoice department for an overpayment of £48.00 that we have made when we have already informed them that we were closing and which they have acknowledged. Despite several attempts thru their web tickets, they have just ignored us and have not made any attempt to get in touch with us. Called their sales department,surprise,surprise somebody answered !! I asked them to put me thru the invoice department and somebody answered with a fake American accent. Called again they can probably see my same phone number and refused to answer my call again. They’re good at taking your money but not interested to credit you back!! Will only answer if it’s sales and if your potentially a new customer. Don’t entertain EPOS now if you want a human customer services support .
Pros:
Software overall was functional to our retail shop.
Cons:
Customer service was non existent. Apart from Sales, you can only get in touch with them through a web ticket which another reviewer have noted that they don’t reply to. They are only interested to talk to a new customer and a potential sale! In short they can’t be bothered and don’t care about the concerns of their existing customer. We have now potentially lost £48.00 of overpayment but I’m glad that we don’t have to deal with such an awful customer service! The fake American accent of the male sales person was terribly bad.
Good system, but the true shining star is one of their employees.
Pros:
We purchased your POS systems for both of our shops earlier this spring. We were upgrading our Gettysburg shop and opening a new location in Charleston, South Carolina. On the day before our opening, we installed the Bixelon barcode printer, and the plan was to print all of our labels that day so we'd be able to open and take sales the next day, April 1. When we tested the labels we'd printed, we found that none of them would scan, which was a major problem for us opening the next day. One of the Customer Support had been working with us already through weeks of a difficult installation in our Gettysburg shop, and when we realized the issue with the labels not scanning, he had already gone home for the day. It was a Friday night, and we were in a panic. Thankfully, a lady working your call line was able to reach out, and that customer support went above and beyond the call of duty, working with us for literally hours, ultimately discovering a bug within Google Chrome that was causing the issue. He then quickly fixed the problem, allowing us to print labels for all of our hundreds of hats and to open on time the next morning, with our system fully operational. Since then, continued to be quickly responsive to any issues we have encountered. We have been meaning to write this letter for some time now, but opening a new shop has been all consuming. We are ever so grateful to the customer support and feel that he is a true asset to your company. He is patient, personable, and calm, and a fine representative of your business. If he were our employee, he'd most certainly be first in line for a promotion.
Customer Service
Comments: While attempting to intergrade a new payment processing company, I could not have been more pleased with the service and assistance I received from support team. Team treated me with the upmost courtesy and respect that all customer service representatives should deliver to their customers. From start to finish, they were there to assist me the entire way through what should have been an easy setup but were able to overcome all the obstacles that came up along the way. Thank you so much for your help and I am so happy knowing I have their team available to assist me in the future.

Professional, courtesy and respectful to their customers. Representatives go out of their way to assure the problem you are experiencing is resolved 100%
Cons:
there is not anything I can think of at this time that would classify as a con based on all the positive experiences I have had dealing with their IT department as of late.

Avoid this company especially if you are a small business
Comments: Avoid this company at all costs, especially if you are a small business! They are quick to sell you their product, very responsive and pushy for the sale but as soon as you are in you struggle for an answer to anything. There is meant to be training, we received none but were 'graduated from training' with no response when we asked for help. You are then passed on to their call centers which are never consistent. No-one responds to emails and when you do get through to someone in their call center they tell you different things. The product itself continuously resets, needs re-syncing or unassigns itself in the middle or service. We tried the handheld which constantly disconnected from the FOH and kitchen printers - you have to beg for help from this company. We lasted a couple of months before finding a local company who cares. Epos Now are NOT for the 'little people' they couldn't care less how much their lack of support affects small businesses - do not go near this company.

The back end of the software is user friendly.

The customer service is absolutely atrocious. I ended up sending a 6 page word document of all the emails and communications they ignored from me asking to help Epos Now didn't attempt to help set up or train us on how to use the product, we had to guess and when we asked for help we were ignored. We ended up having to ask our IT company who figured some of it out. The software continuously stops working or re-syncs in the middle of service. Not ideal on a busy day. When you call for help you get palmed off and very little help is received.

WORST SYSTEM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Comments: My overall experience is below 0 with this company, they cannot solve anything and puts even more challenges in front of their customers.
Pros:
I made the decision to purchase this software because it looked user-friendly and the support team sounded great. It was also in top 10 for retail software in UK.
Cons:
Since, the beginning I had many technical problems and problems with the support team. Once accidentally, they've deleted all my sales and product data during trading! After a while, I lost connection with the support team, waiting for a day or 2 for them to get back to me, screen freezes in front of the customers in the store and there's nobody to reach, the system doesn't sync, no solution there. And, their Bulk Editor app is not working at all! And, once you reach someone with the support team, their answer is always like that - sorry, it has to be a glitch in the system, there's nothing I can do! Their support is to solve system problems, therefore I don't understand this reply at all! I've bought the integration with Shopify and this sync is not working either and they are blaming Shopify about this. No product or refund data to be synced during the day, nobody to reach for help. I have been waiting for a solution to this for 4 weeks now. I don't recommend this company to anyone, please stay away from this brand!
By far the worst company I dealt with nomorals/ unethical selling
Comments: EPOS NOW is by no doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with Worse POS/ No support/ unethical selling/ hidden terms in contract/ hidden charges/ worst customer bombarding EPOS NOW unethically sold their P400 counter top terminal to me. I was rushed to make the payment for the proforma as the sales rep said the black.friday deal will be out if I don't sign up today. I never asked for Merchat services, it was included in the proforma and after I signed it I was forced to pay. I tried telling them.numerius time that u was with other Merchant service provider who are way cheaper than their 1.7%. However, as per the contract I had ended up paying 36 months charge for the terminal just to get rid of it. The I received another email saying that I have purchased a new terminal.whixb want the case. And they were forcing me.tk.use their teeminal.for taking the payment. Later they started charging me $49 +GST for payment premium saying that I have not met the terms and conditions of using the terminal. I explained them.multiple.time that I don't have their paymwnt terminal.but still till.date they are charging e payment premium. I 've been trying to.gwt my refund but I can't get hold.of their Global cases support!! And who ever pick up the phone after 40- 50 mins wait tells me that the issue is out scope and escalated. In short, these guys are unethical and definitely cheater. Please do not got for this company. Save yourself.

they advertise complete solution for £249 including till terminal, cash drawer and a printer. (to good to be true)
when I called to place an order, I ended up getting it for £600 for that.
here comes worst part, as I only received a till terminal without cash drawer and printer.
I called them up to find out, they advised me cash drawer and printer will be dispatched separately, so I had to wait for another week.
unfortunately another week passed and no sign of my items, this time after literally 12min holding my call ,different guy picked up the phone and went through my record and said that the amount you paid was only for till terminal and for cash drawer and printer I had to pay separately.Really??
so I paid £600 only for till terminal only, is this a joke
so I asked what is this £249 that you are puting for sale included, he responded thats plus 3 year warranty and licence fee.
Obviously I have already purchased the license and do not need 3 year warranty as well,however he said we won't make money out of this, so we need to add a 3 year warranty charge so to cover the cost.
This is ridiculous, nobody told me that, otherwise I would not go for it.

Be aware they con people easily.sluggish software, you have to buy all equipments from them so not compatible with any other hardware other than themselves.
Terrible customer service
Pros:
The system is easy to use. I would love to have continued to use it....if they stood by what that tell you when you are purchasing the product and provide customer support, as they indicated.
Cons:
Do yourself a favor....DO NOT PURCHASE AN EPOS SYSTEM. They DO NOT stand by what they tell you, when you are purchasing their equipment. Their support after one year is HORIBLE. If you refuse to buy their customer support plan, they tell you that they provide email support, which is a lie. They told me desktops have a 3 yr warranty on all equipment. Now, they are saying it only had a 1 yr warranty and we have to pay for a warranty, to have anything replaced now. I have created several tickets and never heard a word back or got the problem resolved. Today (Sunday at 2:00 CST) our desktop was down (which is ironic since our warranty supposibly just expired on the desktop). We had customers in our store and I needed our desktop up to check out customers. We received an error message saying the desktop could not be found, it has been moved or deleted. We called EPOS. It went to U.K. They refused to help because we did not purchase the 24/7 customer support service and said to call the US support line on Monday. Needless to say, we will be shopping for another POS system that stands by their product and customer service!

Comments: Enjoy using this product and would recommend to other company’s. Customer service was exceptional especially when we had a problem with it. [sensitive content hidden] was amazing and fixed it quickly and super polite !
Pros:
Epos is easy to use and perfect for businesses. We only use a small factor of the elements available. But it’s perfect and clear to keep track of all our sales and stock.
Cons:
Having regular updates that would happen automatically. And staff compared to a sales graph or table (in takings and who was clocked in) would be helpful to someone like me who manages it from a separate company.

I've been using EposNow for 2 years, I would greatly recommend!
Comments: I literally do not know what I would do without EposNow, I would recommend them to anyone and have done in the past! We had a problem with our cashdrawer and it was replaced the following day. I've recently got very involved with going deeper into stock levels and master products and am very impressed with everything I can do!
Pros:
Insights into sales, stock, customer loyalty all on dashboard and easy to read. There is so much I can do in the back office, I'm still learning new things 2 years on and am still very impressed with what I am able to do! Support are brilliant, always very friendly and helpful. There is a feature vote where you can submit any suggestions for the system and users vote on features they would like to see. The apps that integrate are very useful and there is something for everything you could think of! I can access the back office from anywhere, I love this, it means I can work from home and keep up to date with sales.
Cons:
Support do take a while to answer your call, although I have only noticed this recently. Their stationary (till rolls etc can seem a little pricey) but you aren't bound to buy from them.
Stay away
Pros:
Software layout for the terminal is not terrible. This may work okay for some small retail businesses that do not have high volume and are running everything inside of ePOS Now with no integrations.
Cons:
I normally don't go out of my way to write a review, but if I can spare one person from buying this, I feel it is worth the time. We were promised a lot of things for integration with Quickbooks Online. We soon found out that the integration was not as robust as they claimed. The monthly subscription to ePOS Now, itself, is not terribly expensive, but you soon learn that you need an add on connector program for everything. Then they want to add an additional $69/month for support. The next issue is getting out. Expect to pay a steep early termination fee. We tried hard to make this work and finally decided that we were better off to just pay the fees and bail. We are still fighting that battle and still getting monthly charges.
