I was polite, transparent, and acknowledged that this was technically a resubscription—even though my previous use had been with help and this was my first attempt to use it independently. Despite the request being made within two days, my refund was denied because the subscription was month-to-month rather than annual. The case was escalated internally and then closed as “final,” with no reconsideration possible. While I understand companies have policies, this experience felt particularly rigid given: •The extremely short timeframe (2 days) •The lack of actual product use •The reality that Semrush is heavily marketed to small business owners, despite having a very steep learning curve This platform may work well for experienced SEO professionals or teams, but in my experience it is not beginner-friendly and not forgiving to solo business owners who quickly realize it’s not the right fit.
