Pros:

The interface is very user friendly, properly labeled, and easy on the eyes. There isn't a lot of unnecessary buttons or icons that can confuse, which would make learning it that much harder.

Cons:

It has been a while since we used this software so I don't know if this has changed, but at the time this was very frustrating.

The all in 1 Software for the trades

Comments: Overall ServiceTitan is the best. I am a huge advocate for the ServiceTitan software. I only want to see it grow even more than it already has. They are constantly improving the software!

Pros:

I love the all in one software that ServiceTitan is. It combines so many features into one convenient location. I have always felt this way since the beginning.

Cons:

ServiceTitan is a wonderful software. And I don't have anything to say that could be a con at this time. Maybe that I wish more people were using the community feature!

Still Growing

Comments: Service Titan has been at times overwhelming but we've put the resources towards it necessary to improve and grow our business.

Pros:

The customer experience aspect to inform customers where they are at within the process. It helps mitigate the biggest complaint customers have with contractors which is lack of communication.

Cons:

I'd like more built out in the way of budgeting and progress report dashboards. Help us gamify our gross profit and operating profit goals through each department.

Ok, not the Best

Comments: I am not sure why payments that are deleted are still taken twice from a customer acct. This has caused issues for us, otherwise, it's pretty good. Also wish there was an actual phone number to call for help.

Pros:

For the most part it is easy to operate. Easy to learn and also teach if needed.

Cons:

There are some things that could be done differently

Game changing Technology for the Trades

Comments: Service Titan was the correct software partner for Doors by Mike. I would recommend it to any shop that has 10 or more technicians and wants to improve their company.

Pros:

The technology is game changing. It has allowed our technicians to become totally paperless. Our customers are able to book online and confirm appointments by text. We are able to KPIs that include sales, technician performance and job costing.

Cons:

The onboarding was extremely challenging and time consuming. We built our price book with way too much data and it overwhelmed the app. I wish during onboarding that Service Titan would have advised us on a maximum number of Price book items. That would have saved us a lot of issues. I do hope they will advise future Titans of a maximum amount of Price book items. I wish more of the "Pro" products were available without all the additional costs. Service Titan is a large investment, and I do wish Marketing Pro and Scheduling Pro was a part of the standard package.

Great for orgnaization

Comments: Great product, Service Titan's service is good and helpful, also customer's love getting notifications when our technicians are on route...
Overall, our technicians like it and our office staff.

Pros:

There are many different things I Like about Service Titan some of the most important is Calendar Organization, the Content portal and being able to keep a good working customer history back-up which is easy to look-up when in need.

Cons:

One of the minor things i don't like but not necessary a deal breaker is that there is no drag and drop in calendar view, but its still pretty easy to change your schedule when required.

Service Titan- Great Service Software!!!

Pros:

Has everything we need plus some. All in one stop where you do not need to shop around for your options.

Cons:

Growing extremely fast- we cannot keep up with all it has to offer. Is that a bad thing?

Only marketing prowess can get software this bad this far

Comments: I was sold on many things by the time we signed up for service titan, but issue after issue, it didn't matter - how responsive their customer service was, the "quantity of features", the percent of increased sales - it just doesn't work well. They also didn't follow through with their obligation to help with a number items outlined in the contract. After my customer support manager went dark, and her manager went dark, I initiated a stop payment; only then I was contacted - by the billing department. When I explained the situation and asked for help, they said they would reach out. I didn't hear back until their collections team followed up which obviously went nowhere. I find it incredibly hard to beleive that Service Titan is considered a successful company. Even for the clients that this is working for - I can only expect they stay with ST out of convenience of due to the contract. There are so many better options out there, in every way (no exaggeration). As if to add insult to injury, this must also be the most expensive option on the market as well.

Pros:

The many, many people involved with onboarding were friendly; kind of what I expect the initial joining of a cult would be like.

Cons:

The 5-week onboarding & training before go-live should have been an indicator that this software is highly unintuitive. They sold it as built by-and-for tradesmen, but I strongly disagree. In a world of clever software intuitiveness, service titan is far from in keeping with modern standards of UX/UI and even stable functionality.

Comments: We have been using Service Titan since Late 2019 and it has completely changed how we run our business. We would not be where we are today without the amazing features of Service Titan, and it is great to know that these features are all backed by an amazing team for onboarding, ongoing success and they have programs to help educate you on the program to get the most value for your spending.

Pros:

Service Titan Consolidates so many aspects of running a business into one easy to use platform.

Cons:

Some updates and features are not available in Canada

Worth the cost!

Comments: My experience has been positive overall largely due to the fact that I learned alot about the software and attend trainings to further my understanding.

Pros:

I like that it changes with user feedback.

Cons:

The largest con for us is the price and learning curve for many of the modules. We had to dedicate a few individuals to champion the software and rollout larger initiatives and mass workflows. Some shops do not have those resources.

The best CRM for the trades

Comments: Our overall experience with ServiceTitan has been really great! It is the best software by a long shot! It is pricey but you certainly get what you pay for.

Pros:

We love how easy ServiceTitan makes things on our customers. Automated text messages when a technician is on the way, ability to pay their invoice online, and fast online scheduling with real time availability makes us very simple to do business with!

Cons:

The implementation and setup is quite the process. New feature onboarding requires a lot of research and figuring out for yourself. ServiceTitan helps as much as they can but not having a dedicated account rep anymore makes this a little challenging.

Cons:

Not much, they are great and always taking recommendations for improvements for any issues. We did prefer the old look as opposed to the new style of the website.

User Experience

Comments: It's been a game changer for us. We use a few of their pro products from marketing to vehicle tracking. We can see at any given moment how the business is performing operationally.

Pros:

Payment processing is very valuable. So much time is saved by customers going online to make payments and not tie up anyone on the phone. Our technicians can easily take cards and mobile capture checks in the field for next day depositing.

Cons:

Construction estimating and some other features that go along with this are not where they need to be yet, but they are working on enhancements all the time.

More features, more benefits, more issues

Comments: Overall, Customer service has been pretty responsive, although not always able to provide a viable solution or work-around to issues. The software itself is robust to the point of being overly so. There are a ton of features. The Pricebook alone has a ton of aspects we continue to underutilize such as product images, recommendations, and templates. It took a ton of work to get everything setup and running the way we want and there is still a lot of room for improvement. The best part about ST is the community. Between Facebook groups, forums, networking events and new ideas within ServiceTitan, somebody has an answer to your issue 95% of the time. The financing integration has really helped our technicians help more of our customers as well.

Pros:

I believe ST works diligently to add new features and expand existing features. Some oversight may exist on fixing bugs or addressing issues. ServiceTitan has more functionality than most other CRMs, but the more complex something is, the more issues there can be. ServiceTitan has absolutely given us a better grasp on business operations and helped us increase our revenue.

Cons:

Location being required for field staff is a huge battery drain on devices and not a function we need for the software to work as we intend it, especially as the dispatch map doesn't update in real time. The software is very expensive and requires a large investment to make someone a "Managed Tech" meaning it is restrictive for certain roles in our organization.

ST all around.

Comments: Overall its good, definitely really great aspects of the service and then items that need attention.

Pros:

We like the visibility you get with ST, you can easily locate your technician whether he is driving or working at a customers home.

Cons:

The Support really needs help, I can tell you of maybe 3 times support was able to resolve and issue. All the other times it had to be sent to a more senior support staff to resolve. I am currently still waiting on a resolution from a case opened 1/30/24!

Service Titian overview

Comments: we onboarded during covid, so I feel like, and everyone was on vacation in December. I felt like a stronger start would have been helpful.

My Service Titan experience over the last 21 months.

Pros:

I like most about Service Titan the ability to access job history including notes and pictures. I also find useful the amount of technician performance data that Service Titan allows me to access, such as billable efficiency.

Cons:

One challenge to using Service Titan would be the initial learning curve and then navigating the seemingly endless features fluidly.

Comments: Overall St has been great. We have streamlined a lot of our operations and it has forced us to grow in a lot of good ways as a company, and to develop great processes.

Pros:

Love the customizability, the simplistic use of features, the support and community that ST offers

Cons:

Some features are lacking, and hard to use. sometimes things feel "clunky" (different processes etc).

No other software like it!

Comments: I have been using ST for 7-10 years and it is ever evolving and improving. It has had rapid growth during this time but has acknowledged this and is making strides to take care of all of its customers.

Pros:

You get out of it what you put into it.

Cons:

Not being able to un-export and correct exported items.
