The only parser that does email scraping the right way

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: It is still a new piece of software that is yet building its complete functionality. What I have found out however is that support is extremely approachable and competent, and that when they promise something (i.e. introducing a new feature) they keep their promise. As the product matures, I see myself needing less and less input from support, but I hope they will retain the same open and friendly approach as before.

Pros:

Parsio is an "email first and foremost" type of parser, unlike other automations I have used that treat email like any other source of data, and subject it to the same restrictions as an ephemeral webhook call. What other email parsers do is queue all emails and once a message is processed, that's it - no chance to fix a mistake in the template, no chance to adapt if there is any error in the parsing procedure itself. If I didn't get the needed data the first time, it was lost forever. Parsio puts an end to that 'finality' and allows me to fix my templates at leisure. I no longer have to worry if an email that I am parsing will change its format. As soon as I see something is wrong with the parsed data, I can go back, analyze the problem, fix my scraping template and reprocess all failed messages. This is *so liberating*!

Cons:

As of the time of writing, Parsio itself has no ability to process the data it collects (e.g. format dates, numbers and currencies; perform conditional operations; add/reorder data within the csv/XML/JSON structure and so on) before passing it to other services. Perhaps those will come with time to make the users' job easier. The newly introduced functionality that allows parsing tables is still a bit rough around the edges.

Stop wasting time collecting data from your inbox

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: So far I am saving a few hours of data entry each month. The more I use it the more time I am saving, and getting some things done that I never did before. Automating data collection is fantastic.

Pros:

it is simple to use and just works. The UI is very clean and makes setting up the parsing SOOO easy and fast.

Cons:

I don't have any real complaints so far. it works well, the price is good, and I can even read PDF files. It does exactly what I expected it to, which I cant say for so many products.

Reads Data - Predatory Billing - AVOID!

2.0 9 months ago

Comments: Reads data well and served the purpose I needed it for, however, with respects to billing, they keep charging my card every month even though I've canceled numerous times, and have attempted to contact support only to be ignored. Very frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and avoid.

Pros:

Reads and maps data well, connect multiple sources

Cons:

Predatory billing - I've not been able to cancel and they keep charging my card. Customer support has ignored me, and when I cancel inside platform, it turns itself back and they charge me another month. Very frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company.

Hello Steve, I appreciate your feedback. First of all, please know that you can freely upgrade or downgrade your Parsio account at any time. I’ve just reviewed our chat and email conversations with you. You inquired about downgrading your account to a Free plan, and we informed you that you should simply select the Trial plan and disable email auto-forwarding. It appears that you did not cancel your subscription, which is why you were charged for another month. Moreover, our records indicate that you continued using your Parsio account, sending and parsing emails before requesting a refund. Don’t hesitate to contact our support team should you have any additional feedback or questions.

Great, but not a free alternative to Mailparser

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Mailparser recently discontinued its free plan and so I was looking for a low priced entry alternative and wanted to check out Parsio. I mistakenly thought it was 30 credits/mo which would have been sufficient but it's only 30 credits total. My needs are for simple email (not document) parsing, standardized emails from vacation rental platforms. Mailparser allows multiple steps of textual refinement whereas Parsio deals with a visual interface of the email and then offers minimal refinement. It separated my email from its attachment which, if document parsing were required, would be very helpful.

Pros:

I liked the interface and the ease of start up.

Cons:

The inability to easily refine parse results into different formats.

Intuitive and powerful email parser

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, I'm happy with Parsio. It's my first email parser, I had no idea how much I needed it. Everybody needs an email parser for repeating emails/newsletters, you just don't know it yet.

Pros:

I most enjoy how intuitive Parsio is to use. I've watched 2 short videos and in a few minutes I've been able to set up my first template. In addition, the customer support has been speedy and helpful.

Cons:

At the moment, it's more difficult to extract hyperlinks in emails. One needs to switch to view the HTML of the newsletter in order to be able to select the links. I am confident they will improve this in the future.

Didn't think self-service AI would work well...I was wrong

5.0 last year

Pros:

It really is easy to use, and, if you have an intermediate level of data manipulation skills, then this is even easier for you to use.

Cons:

Setup and initial launch requires a bit too much reading FOR ME. However, my technical team could easily manage it after that.

Powerful Parsio

5.0 last month New

Comments: I use parsio to parse my bank statements out of my email account and then create a summary of my networth across savings accounts.

Pros:

Its ability to parse the PDFs and enables us to select various different type of datatypes.

Cons:

It would be good if we can have some regex sort of expressions as well, so that documents, which vary little bit can also be parsed consistently.

Top Notch Email Parsing Software With Tons of Integrations

5.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

Easy to setup and use. We had a test email come through and parsed + setup webhook to our CRM within 15 minutes. Excited about the future with Parsio.

Cons:

The pricing, but it is very competitive and one of the best deals compared to their competitors.

Chevy's Review

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

What I liked most about Parsio is its powerful and versatile web data extraction capabilities. The ability to extract various types of data, such as text, images, links, and tables, with ease was highly impactful for my business needs. The product is incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive interface and comprehensive documentation, making it easy to use even for those with limited technical expertise. Integrating Parsio into our existing business process was seamless, thanks to its well-documented API and flexible integration options, ensuring a smooth workflow and enhancing our data-driven decision-making.

Cons:

While Parsio is an excellent web data extraction tool, one aspect I found challenging was dealing with websites that heavily rely on complex JavaScript rendering. In some cases, extracting data from such websites required additional configuration and troubleshooting. Additionally, while Parsio offers a wide range of extraction options, I felt that certain advanced features, such as handling CAPTCHA or solving complex login scenarios, could be further developed to enhance its capabilities. Nonetheless, these minor limitations do not outweigh the overall positive experience and effectiveness of Parsio in web data extraction.

Really great and helpful!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Great experience

Pros:

If you use Zapier, Integromat, Integrately, Konnectzit, Pably Connect, SyncSpider and often need to parse incoming emails and PDF attachments, Parsio is really what you need. I'm receiving dozens of client invoices every day so it's super helpful to be able to parse all the data from them and have them in an Excel sheet. The interface is really intuitive, everything is super easy and quick. An amazing solution for everyone who is into business automation. Excited to see how it develops!

Cons:

COuld've been cheaper for what it is to make it more affordable for small companies

Works as it should and pleasantly east to use.

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall I've had a better than expected experience using this service and their pricing is spot on. The product performs as you'd expect and it's very easy ro figure out just by a quick scan of the interface. If you need to parse data from emails you should have this product in your toolbox.

Pros:

I buy leads from a vendor and the email for each lead has a lot of data that, extracting by hand, would take hours. I was able to parse the data I needed from 100 emails in about 10 minutes. The data was just as I needed it and then Parsio provided a script to auto import the parsed data. It was almost too simple and I could not be happier.

Cons:

The FAQs and Help section on their site could use some work, but it is a new product. Fortunately emailing for help provided a fast and accurate answer, in about 30 minutes.

The tool every adult needs! Seriously, is not just for companies

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: So far it's been great, we are mending our accounting and we are using parsio to enrich our accounting data with the emails we receive from the bank from each transaction, and will definitely keep using this (even for personal use)

Pros:

You can do this to organize a lot of incoming data, like bank statements, investment, real state, etc... in an extremely easy manner. You just create a mailbox (one for each use case) then send there the emails that are repetitive where you need to extract data from, and once you've setup templates you an export all the data to Google sheets (or anywhere else) with extreme ease.

Cons:

Nothing i dislike so far, I had some trouble setting up REGEX to improve my templates and support was super quick to help me. I would say I'm looking forward to maybe more improvements, like allowing documents to be uploaded directly or maybe exposing the parsed data to an API.

A nice little way to step in to AI without the high price tag of Microsoft AI builder

5.0 last year

Pros:

We came across this as we were looking for alternatives to AI Builder because we are not that even the entry level of documents to make the price tag of $500 a month pay. This helps us extract data from pdf documents to use elsewhere.

Cons:

Wish it had a direct Power Automate connection even if premium.

Capable general purpose PDF parser

4.0 last year

Pros:

It was pretty easy to get started using Parsio. I also liked that their plans allow us to easily test out the capabilities before purchasing them. I also liked how it had a GPT powered parser.

Cons:

As a PDF parser, it is general purpose so your mileage will depend on your PDF. I didn't find any of the existing models that were able to parse my particular PDF in the way I needed.

Unprofessional customer support

1.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall the tool itself isn't bad, but the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is highly unethical and left me without $120 and without access to the tool or a refund. Very dissapointed! I usually only write good reviews but this time not.

Pros:

I liked how easy it is to setup and use.

Cons:

The biggest con is the way I was treated as a customer, bought 2 Appsumo codes and forgot to redeem. 2 weeks after the deadline they ignored my messages, put me a goose chase emailing them only to eventually say that they can't help me because they "must follow Appsumo terms" which is basically a lie cause i know those terms.

Parsio.io Response

Dear Andrey Kholkin, You purchased 3 codes and successfully redeemed one. You missed the deadline by 4 months, not 2 weeks (you never contacted us before) and we advised you to contact AppSumo for a refund; send us your proof of purchase (AppSumo invoice); or get 2 months from us on any subscription plan that will cover your investment. Another customer also pointed that you are selling Parsio and many other AppSumo codes on Facebook which is strictly prohibited.

Good for data parsing!

5.0 10 months ago

Pros:

It did exactly what I need it to do. I need to parse data from a PDF to convert it into an Excel sheet. This saved so much time where I would have have to manually input all the data in myself.

Cons:

It is kind of expensive for the monthly subscription. Depending on what you need it may be worth the money to save that time!

Invest the Time

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: I'm a fairly new user and other than the aforementioned parse issue and some minor UX issues, this is a useful tool for reducing my accounting overhead. I'm sure I will eventually expand into more useful applications, but this alone helps me.

Pros:

This software is great for helping me automatically log my receipts. I make a lot of purchases and this offloads some work from some of my other automation apps to help keep costs low.

Cons:

It would be nice if I could tell it more general behavior. For example, I had an HTML table in my receipt and when a second row was added in a newer receipt, the parsing failed. It would have been nice if I could tell the software "This is a table, the first row will always be the headers and I want you to parse all subsequent rows the same way." I would also appreciate if things like the email date would be available through the API as I am using Pabbly to connect Parsio to QuickBooks.

Parsing of various tables within multiple PDF files.

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Very pleasnt experience. Unfortunately, we are a small outfit with tight budget constraints so my use will be limited.

Pros:

The OCR extraction seemed accurate and on-point, which helped a lot to compile a merged dataset consisting of information from multiple PDF documents. Not only has it helped me to compile a dataset much quicker than having to manually capture data from hardcopy, but it also avoids potential entry errors.

Cons:

I do not think I scratched the surface of Parsio's capabilities, and my tasks were very rudimentary, which Parsio executed well. Due to the fact that I did not "deep dive" I could not find anything to fault.
