The best operating system I have used

Comments: As I've said already this has been the best operating system I have ever used & I have used a fair few. It takes a little time to set up as all systems do but once in place it runs smoothly & is very easy to use. The information is easy to access & very reliable, I would say it's been a big part in the success of our business since we first used in 2013.

Pros:

Ease of use & accuracy of information given.

Cons:

Difficult to answer as we have always been very happy with it.

A System for Success

Comments: I have utilised Prodtrac in 3 different food companies, installing it in 2.
The software is comprehensive supporting technical, manufacturing, planning and finance.
The software is easy to use and the reporting excellent. It represents excellent value for money for a full manufacturing system, that has been specifically designed for the food sector.
The multi-level BOMs are essential in food manufacturing and absent in a lot of other manufacturing systems. From a finance prospective the reporting on gross margin is an outstanding tool to control costs and increase gross margin.

Total package for food manufacturing with the best customer service

Comments: It great for food because you can have many levels on a recipe that most other software can't handle. The way Prodtrac will create customised reports for us has been invaluable and such a time saver.

Pros:

Some of the best customer service, always resolves any question within 24 hours, has worked with us to create many customised reports, from costings to invoicing to traceability it does it all

Cons:

The traceability and stock control is very "clunky" and time consuming so we don't use these elements

Prodtrac experience

Comments: I have had a very positive experience using the software, the prodtrac team are always on hand should I need support.

Pros:

We were one of Prodtrac's early Software adopters, like with any software their is a lot of work you need to put in at the beginning but once its set up correctly it just works & takes care of our food production, tractability, financial reports & ordering, the flexibility to add specific tailor made reports is really useful. The Prodtrac support team are always on hand to help when required.

Cons:

Nothing negative I can put my finger on.

Great to use in my day to day tasks.

Comments: I enjoy using ProdTrac on a daily basis, it runs smooth, no problems and with ease. I would definitely reccomend it to other colleagues as it keeps the records organised and always at a one click distance :)
I have had all the support whenever I required it which is a big plus. I cannot do my job without it, therefore the quick replies I had from the team enabled me to do my job in a timely manner which is of the utmost importance. Thank you for great support and communication!

Pros:

It is easy to use once you learn how to work with it. It has a lot of features and options that help you to achieve your tasks, it is designed to be used by different departments within the company which I appreciate a lot.

Cons:

I am currently using Prod Trac only to record the products and for traceability purposes even though I am aware that it can do much more so I am not able to say how it would be integrated with other apps. I would appreciate if there was a warning in advance for expiring raw materials (maybe a week before and the colour would be orange as a warning) rather than it going straight to red. If something needed to be changed, then a section designed for that would be a much quicker way (i.e best before date or removing a product that is no longer in stock but shows as expired).

E-Liquid Manufacturing

Comments: We have Been With Prodtrac for 5+ Years and we are only just reaching its full potential, it is a very extensive software that can pretty much run your full facility.

Pros:

Cons:

There is a fair bit of manual input but they are very good at creating import modules for certain areas/

5+ Years User

Comments: Very happy with the product, hence why we have been using it for over 5+ years.

Pros:

The flexibility of the software and the extensive reporting feature is fantastic. As a BRC accredited factory we find ProdTrac invaluable for traceability. It helps us control all aspects of our business from raw material intake through to production and final despatch of finished product. Regular updates and bespoke tweaks to additional screens/reports means the software brows as new demands come in from accreditation bodies/H&S requests.

Cons:

The only slight criticism is the 'look' of the screens. This does not affect the functioning of the software and this is a personal preference, but I'd like the screens to look more modern.

Great all round business tool

Comments: Very Positive. Easy to use. Informative and great ability to get custom reports made.

Pros:

Easy to use, understand and navigate. All links together nicely.

Cons:

Due to it being a complete package, there are a lot of screens/boxes in forms that aren't used which can add a lot of confusion when setting up new products etc. Maybe a bit more flexibility to customisation wouldn't go a miss.

Great product to adapt to your companies needs

Comments: Excellent and great customer service support - always quick response to requests and worked well to make the system suited to our sector

Pros:

Easy navigation- can be adapted to suit your companies generic needs- and can be changed where needed

Cons:

Took a bit of time to get it exactly to what our particular company requires, however, the basic functions suited from the beginning for us the end user, before we realised the extra options we would require

Using Prodtrac

Comments: Great - generally easy to use, customer support is brilliant. Would definitely recomend.

Pros:

Ease of use, great reports, ease of modify and adding on additional features / reports.

Cons:

Sometimes difficult to find the material you need unless you put the exact code in. Would like a better user friendly search.

Traceability and all reports. Stock control.

Cons:

How manual it is however it needs to be manual to make sure that it is done correctly

Simplifying Tracibility

Pros:

The Prodtrac software has made it a lot easier to trace products and keep track of stock and goods in procedures

Cons:

Occasionally dont have the right style of reports set up but the we can get them made spesific to our needs

Pros:

Easy to use, saves loads of time on records that used to take hours.

Cons:

It would be great if you could export reports on to an excel sheet.
